Figured it out. The default emulator's were different. One was using the 2003 version, another using 2010. Once I switched it back, the save state loaded without problem.
Hopefully this helps someone who may come across this.

Re: ABH's GameBoy SP ZeroW
So I've looked over the Github project. Spec'd out all the parts. Looked at Oshpark for the PCB. Looks like its going to be just shy of $60 for 3 boards. Is there a better place to get the PCB made? https://www.pcbway.com/ $5 (10 boards) + shipping (just go for the basic around $6-7, it doesnt take...

Loading gamesave (.state) on a new GBZ won't load.
I've got many hours into A link to the Past on an older GBZ build. I think this version uses one of Helders AiO's. And I know the Pi Zero doesn't have Wifi on it, because I had a Wifi dongle connected to the system. But I would save the game using the softwares save states and not the official way t...

Re: Kite Circuit Sword Freezes/locks up.
Keep me updated, things to check would be that the battery health is good and the connections are solid. Also if it happens again we can replace the CM3 module itself. Just a tip, if it does crash, just turn the power switch off and then press the MODE button, and it will instantly power off. No ne...

How do you fix size issues? Prints come out too small.
I've struggled with this ever since I got my printer. And I've looked up info on trying to fix this and nothing seems to work. The thing I keep seeing though is that it's probably shrinkage. And I'm pretty sure it's not that. At least to the extent I'm getting. So for example, when I was finishing u...

Re: Kite Circuit Sword Freezes/locks up.
Who the hell knows what was going on before. Ive played for about 30-45 mins before bed the last two nights without issues. So...IDK why it locked up a couple times before.

Re: Circuit Sword & removable cartridge sd?
My previous build, I used the Pi Zero Circuit sword. I was successfully able to add the advanced cartridge reader and a standard GB cart with no problems. But in order to make it work, I moved my L1 & R1 buttons to the battery bay cover. For my latest build with the CM3, I added L1, L2, R1, & R2 but...

Kite Circuit Sword Freezes/locks up.
Finished building my 5th GBZ this weekend. This is using the latest Circuit Sword CM3 from Kite. A few times now, the device has locked up. But I'm going to have to do some more testing to see if I can have more consistent data. But so far, it's frozen when not playing games. Just simply scrolling t...

Re: ABH's GameBoy SP ZeroW
. Been obsessing about building one of these from @abh, ever since I realized getting a hold of a Backlit GBA SP is about just as expensive. So I've looked over the Github project. Spec'd out all the parts. Looked at Oshpark for the PCB. Looks like its going to be just shy of $60 for 3 boards. Is t...
