I'm not sure if this is a new variant or not... but here's my controller board... btw- it was horribly packed in to the casing.. this screen cable never had a chance... as a reminder, always test before mounting! See attached at the state of the cable when I opened it up. This is a BW screen purchas...

Wifi really is a must for most people. I've tried to mount the Linux file system to copy ROMs from my Windows PC, and it consistently caused SD corruption. I'm doing my first go around using a pi3b and am definitely making use of the wifi. I foresee some dongles in my build. Thank you for the help!

Will you also be posting up wiring diagrams? I've been out of the circuit engineering game for a while and basically will try my best to figure it out.. but would be interested in wiring diagrams specifing GPIO details if possible... etc.
