Nice bit of research there @Zero , I'll make a minor adjustement to the splash tomorrow before I upload it again, this should make it easier to implement if what you have mentioned works as we would hope.

Mines lasts for 15 more seconds after the video ends. I am using an old 8gb sd that I found in my drawer. A better card would probably be a lot faster. That is a LOT longer than I anticipated. I've tested it on hdmi but when it gets to the emulation station bit of the video it goes widescreen and uses a different shade of white.
