I was going to say the same thing... Maybe a desktop (or external) GPU is necessary

Re: [WIP] Intro video while system is loading
I only have this laptop, it's a strong built as i can play almost all games at full quality with very good frame rates...
When i force PhysX to use my NVidia GPU instead of intel or auto mode for a specific application, i have the Orange indicator of PhysX telling me that the 970M is running (if it's running), and with After Effects, this orange led is lighting up and i can see the GPU usage within Dragon Gaming Center (dedicated utility from MSI to monitor the laptop) so i suppose the GPU is in action ? I get an average load of 10 or 20% on the GPU.
I tried to disable the GPU in smaller calculations and i have a slight loss of speed in final rendering. I will try to render again some high CPU time demanding projects with GPU disabled and compare render time to see if it's really help a bit, a lot or nothing.

Re: [WIP] Intro video while system is loading
Ok here we go, alpha release of the complete bootup sequence with all logos all together. Any feedback will be welcome
For now, resolution is 1920x1080, 25fps, AAC sound, mp4 compression H.264. It will then be converted to a more suitable resolution to display in GBZ projects (maybe 640x480 should be good for all)
I still need to add a loading bar that will link length to % and display it in the bottom part of the video.
Maybe be 61 seconds is too long ? any advice on that ? because I've read that some systems may load in more than 50 seconds depending on how many emulators/roms are loaded in the system that's why i have opted for such a long sequence.

Should make the glass breaking a little more sudden, and a camera shake or something.
But that's just my opinion

Re: [WIP] Intro video while system is loading
Thanks for your feedback yogurtcup !
Unfortunately, i cannot really change the glass effect as it is a rendered composition that i have downloaded with sound effect in the video. So i can only rework the logos animation, the glitch effect...
If i try to speed the breaking glass prerendered file, i will time stretch also the audio and it will sound ugly lol.
I don't know which plugin was used for this composition. I have zero plugins, i'm working without plugins ; just with the "basic" after effects.

Re: [WIP] Intro video while system is loading
yes it is spam lol
i was sad because the post was lacking views so i'm spamming the whole forum lol
i posted it in the wrong section, i think it would have been better to originally put it in the software section of the GBZ forum.
I still need to finalize the video with the game boy style loader, everything is ok but i just need to correct the monaural sound bug in the emulation station logo presentation (already done with the vid without loading / progress bar)
