If you were to create your own handheld, what would be the most important features? Obviously some things are dependant on others like analog sticks need analog platform support like PS2 and dreamcast.
Just curious what other people's preferences are

What does landscape / portrait orientation mean?
Landscape: width > height, for example 640x480
Portrait: width < height, for example 480x640

What does landscape / portrait orientation mean?
As suggested where I put landscape/portrait i also put examples. I. E. Landscape consoles have the controls either side of the screen like tje GBA, Lynx, PSP, Game gear etc.
Portrait ones have the controls and screen above one another like classic gameboy, pocket, color, SP
What neolith was talking about is specific to screen orientation and actually, vertical is a thing, so much so, that will has been working on vertipie just for vertical games like vertical scrolling shmups
