Arcade build forum?

Post by Richb77 » Mon Oct 16, 2017 3:04 am

Hi All.

I am exploring a future project of making a mid sized (Chopped down) Arcade cabinet using a Pi3.

Does anyone know a good forum or place for information, templates e.t.c. like Sudomod?

Without this site i would have never been able to attempt a GBZ and its an awesome display of how the internet and forums should work. I want the same again but have i just been spoilt?

Hi, that is easy to do! Buy a mini Cab like this:
https://www.amazon.de/Taikee-Micro-Arca ... ini+arcade

And all you need is the same as for a GBZ! ;) Speaker, Audio Amp, for buttons use a selfmade DIY pcb or buy a adafruit Joy bonnet an port this to your controlls. No need a special Forum for this! It`s easy to do. The best forum (Frontend) for Cabs is hyperspin.fe
My mini cab is on orginal Wood and selfmade design. You can print the parts also with a 3d Printer but i like the handmade work with wood. Here is an other mini cab:
https://www.amazon.de/Joy-Toy-42804-Spi ... de+automat

My midi Cab was orderd in England for about 100usd. I`am a german guy to! :) I use a broken X-Box 360 Controller and port them to the buttons! Also find a Notebook with broken panel for one Apple & Egg... 2mm Lexan for protect Display, marquee and buttons. A good Friend print me the Neo Geo Artwork. He works as car wrapping man :) Here some Pics from my Cab. Frontend use Hyperspin is the best choice and you can find some interessting skills there on this site! Also take a look at Arcade Punks there is a lot of stuff!
