Anyone willing to sell a pre-stripped RPi3?

Post by GMoney » Mon Jun 19, 2017 5:53 pm

I have successfully broken 3 consecutive Raspberry Pi 3 boards over the last few months trying to strip them down for a Gameboy project, and I'm hoping someone is willing to sell a pre-stripped Raspberry Pi 3 (leaving the HDMI port/SD slot as the only remaining hardware ports) for the cost of the Pi plus a fair amount for the work involved.

Most recently, I got my Gameboy up and running with a stripped RP3 (no USB, pins, or ethernet) in there, after three failed attempts of getting everything stripped and somehow shorting the board or destroying necessary components, but then I realized I needed to remove the audio jack to line-up my HDMI port. Lo and behold, I wrecked the underside of the composite video pad, and now my stupid project won't work anymore.

For the time being, I'm running it with a Zero-W in there, but I really want to run my full RP3. Someone please help!

P.S. I know sotasystems talked about it, but he/she seems to have left the forums entirely - and that other vendor removes the HDMI port, which won't work for my purposes.
