Hi, here some builds i do some years ago. A DMG with a PAP V? in it and a Pocket with the guts of a PAP IV? It`s a cheap china Handheld i think it called PAP?
Gameboy Pocket was a gif. It was silver colored but overall scratches, very used unit with broken screen. First plan was to paint it white. But after removed the silver paint a grey, white body hatched. There was no battery cover and fit one from a old GBA case in it.
You can see the PAP? Consol in one Pic over the Gameboy where it placed. Was very cheap and ordered both unit two times.

Re: Gameboy & Gamboy pocket mod
Hi, now find it again. The name of this consols is PMP VI this is the bigger one with 3" screen. The smaler PMP V with 2,2" panel. This consols are not so bad. Emulation is not perfekt for some systems.
GG perfekt,
GBA (good many games slowdowns)
SMS (perfekt)
SNES (some problems)
NES (perfekt)
MD (perfekt)
GB, GBC (Roms need conversion with Gombaa)
Audio is great! Sounds realy god for a Handheld. Mp4 video, Mp3 top, but it needs some time to load.

Re: Gameboy & Gamboy pocket mod
Hi, it`s no bittboy but almost simular!? Very cheap china Handheld. I planed to do this with Bittboy in DMG case but this consol ist to buggy (beta firmware)...
It`s not hard to do this, the only tricky thing is porting the buttons.

You can find better & cheaper solution to build a DMG with 2.4 inch display. My last build use a pi zero. The same parts used in mintyPi.
