If you are ok with having the 2.2" screen in stead of a 2.4" one, and you also don't mind not having a ribbon cable, then yep, that should work. :)

That extra 0.2" makes more of a difference than you might think, though:

after all the discussion on the screens,

the 2.2 seems to be back in stock in several places (ebay & aliexpress), i'd personally opt for the 2.4 screen (i have both and the 2.4 does really make a difference)

but if you do decide you want the 2.2,

then shop wisely i picked up 2 screens only a couple of weeks ago for less then that

How about this: https://www.amazon.com/Wrisky-240x320-S ... E2RGQ51XH9

also how did you hook it up to the pi? I couldn't figure it out. I am doing this for a project in school and a quick response would be much appriciated

Couple issues with this one: It's attached to a board, which won't work with the 3d-printed parts. It'll be too big. It also has the touch screen layerm which will make it too thick (even if you did remove it from the board).

So your options really are: wait for us to finalize the 2.4" screen stuff (we're getting close, I promise!), or grab a 2.2" one like you posted before and settle for the 2.2" size (which is still nice, but the 2.4" is noticeably bigger).
