Mintypi lite bezel causing screen glitches

Post by hwhitted05 » Wed Sep 09, 2020 4:12 pm

I found out today that the 3D printed bezel makes my mintypi screen glitches when it is attached. When I took the bezel off, all the games and menus worked perfectly fine, when I put it back on, it would work for a couple seconds, start glitching and becoming unresponsive, and then turn to a white screen. I’m using one of Helder’s presoldered boards for my Mintypi lite so I know it isn’t anything wrong with the internals. I took the bezel off and tested it multiple times and tested it multiple times with bezel on and got the same results.

Is the screen all the way in the 3d printed part. Some of the 3d printed parts where not big enough for the screen. I squeezed my screen in.
Another problem could be the ribbon cable. It could be bent or being pinched. A picture would be helpful.

I checked many times so I’m pretty sure it was in the 3D printed part all the way. Here are the pictures with and without the bezel attached

The right looks like its in but on the left, the actual screen and not the board is hanging over a bit. It could be that. I know I had to wedge my screen in kind of like that.
