Your Mileage May Vary (i.e. everybody may not get the same results) with those replacement buttons, mine from Aliexpress were built to the same specs has the buttons in the cheap USB controllers, when installed in an official Super Famicom controller they were noticeably smaller, not hugely significant, but in a DMG with larger openings to begin with they didn't fit well at all, meanwhile the buttons out of the official Super Famicom controller were a decent enough fit in the DMG shell.
were they from the same seller.....

i've ordered a few more sets from this seller (SNES US & Famicom)....
and they've all been the same (spot on).....

could be a bad batch....
but if they dont fit the SNES/Famicom controllers, then id raise that with the seller (as their listed as replacements)

.

No they were from a different seller, more just a word of warning that not all SNES/SF replacement buttons are created equal from Aliexpress so be careful where you order from. For what it is worth mine didn't have the 3rd little nub on them.

I'm in the process of collecting/buying parts for my first build, I also like the look the Super Famicom 4 color buttons. I ordered my set here:
https://console5.com/store/super-famico ... r-sfc.html
Hopefully they'll work out, if not at least they were pretty cheap to buy. Thanks for the in depth info!

just to reconfirm....
if you've ordered or intend to order or even thinking about it
ordering from the links I've provided you should be good (but its still buyers beware)

the originals are in the GB build, repros are in the controller housing

the lavender/purple buttons also look ok.....
there is a slight concave to the lavender, and a slight convex to the purple (maybe not to the same levels as the originals)

also communicating with Juan @ Deadpan Robot
he has advised me that they (deadpan Robot & Retro Modding) have tried to reproduce these with exact colours for the Gameboy DMG, these are Gameboy DMG buttons (with the exact colour match)

Used the knowledge here, got the 10 sets of SFC and SNES color patterns, extremely happy. Other than cutting off the third tab which is nothing, these buttons drop right in to a DMG shell and fit as good as the original buttons. No slop vertically or side to side. You could probably get away with not even using button wells with these. Very happy to have found this thread! Thanks much!
