Re: One more new GBZ
So you dubbel the 2500. Te voltage is gonna dubble two then.
Whooo Stop befor ask in a post. First use the search or the wiki befor you make a topic.. Just saying.........
Re: One more new GBZ
No! that the difference between "parallele" battery winring and "serie" battery winring! (don't known the english name...)
With this wiring, the voltage doesn't change but the MAH x2 ! (I mean it work like that in my van ) but I just want to known if the powerboost 1000c can charge both without "explode" ?

Re: One more new GBZ
I'm back with some pic! today I got some free time so I decided to start my build.
case mod:
JST conector for the battery
Cartdrige mod: first I cut a little bit my PRS-Tech Micro SD Cart board
Like that I can put the Powerboost 1000c inside the cartridge: (there are 2 hole on the top of the cartrdige for the powerboost LED indicator Battery
And finally the original cartridge reader:

PCB, Teensy, Hollyhoo 3D bracket, screen mod
For the second part of the GBZ, the raspberry doesn't fit into the case because the original cartridge reader pcb was too big. So I desoldered everything, and instal new cartridge, and cut a little bit the battery case.
See you in the next episode

Re: One more new GBZ [WIP]
OK trouble starting now.... I don't know where to solder my sd card wire on the pi0w?! I test it with voltmetre and everything work but I think I soldered on the wrong test pad. Can someone told me where to wire them (from the left to the right)
I already solder 8 wire to the cartridge, but it's look like I just need 7, or maybe I'm wrong

Re: One more new GBZ [WIP]
OK for now everything work like charm !! Thank's everyone for helping me!
I almost finished my GBZ but before closing the case I would like to known Something:
My volume Wheel never "mute" the sound when it down.... there are always sound how do you think I can fix this?

Re: One more new GBZ [WIP]
Adding a resistor before the speaker should lessen the sound overall. You will have to play with the value to get the desired effect.Frigo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2017 12:50 amOK for now everything work like charm !! Thank's everyone for helping me!

Re: One more new GBZ [WIP]
resistor add! much better now! thank you!
But now I have issue with retropie:
got a raspberry pi zero W, run with retropie 4.2, and almost 2000 game in my SD card (SanDisk microSDHC Ultra UHS-I 16 Go)
I scrape 700 game this morning (2hours!!) and then retropie was veryyyyyyyyyy laggy, and it doesn't want reboot (crash on the boot....) and no working at all!
do you think it's cause of the scrape, or the sd are not big enought?
....2h of scrapping for Nothing.....

Re: One more new GBZ [WIP]
FINISHED !! thank's everyone who helped me!!!!! I'm so happy !!
some pics:
internal with Teensy LC (d+ and d- in green and white wire) and powerstrip
the other side, cartridge reader (sd card, micro usb, on/off switch everything wire on the pin)
let's wire everything together! (the green pcb square in the middle of the button PCB is my USB hub ) with Pi zero W
don't forget the sound and the extra USB
time to closed it!
front
back
Battery mod : 2x2500mah !!
side
there a little hole because I don't use safe shutdown, so I would like to known when the pi zero w finished working (act led) when I shutdown ES.
powerboost led indicator inside the cardridge
Now it's time to upload game and have some fun baby !!! thank you again!

Is there missing a ground wire from the zero to the audio circuit?rodocop wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2017 11:20 amIf you are going to use the kitch bent filter, here is a diagram for mono audio that i just made up.
**I edited the diagram a bit, so it is more clear. this is how you would wire mono sound**If you aren't using the filter your purple wire from the GIPO will go directly to the volume wheel. then everything else will be the same.SpoilerShow
This is what I have done in the past and it works out alright.
