I have a problem with hooking up this Kedei HDMI.
I'm using a 2500 mAh battery, the backlight turns on but the screen won't.

When you say backlight, what do you mean?....
Are you getting the kedei blue intro screen?....
Also where are you wiring the screen to (where is it getting its power from)?....
Are you getting a no signal message?....

I mean something inside the screen lights up. I'm not getting the blue intro screen or any visuals on the screen.VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 7:40 am

I've had it wired to the power strip and directly to the pi zero with the same result.

Here's one picture with the whole setup and one specific for the screen to the pi. You can also see the white light coming from the screen.

your wiring seems ok.....
try the ribbon cable, remove and reseat.....
also the way you have the screen connected to the Pi Zero, you should be able to power the screen directly from the Pi zero with just a USB cable (powering via the Pi zero micro usb port)....
you can do away with the power strip/powerboost/battery for now, this is good for when testing

Re: Veteran's 2nd GBZ (HDMI Screen + Stereo Sound) ((Nearly Done))
this is a wiring diagram for how i used the audio from the hdmi screen.....

i used a B103 potentiometer and a PJ-324 headphone socket....
others can be used, you just have to use the same pinouts (whichever way they are on the different componants)
Headphones socket guide....

Are you still getting stereo sound from the headphones? It looks like you're only using the left output from the amp.
