Another hot tip from a professional model maker: add some dish soap to the water you dip your sandpaper into; it prevents material from building up in the grit and ruining your paper. This works better the finer grit you use.
Ooh! I never knew that. clogging sand paper really irritates me.
Thanks!

I am definatly going to use the backplate one to help with a few designs I have in mind. These are amazing.

Guys,

I have received my Laser SLA Prints and I have to say they came out very well.
The fit is perfect and even the letters are good to read.
Just some minor sanding needed as surface is a bit rough. The only thing is that it can be only printed in natural color.
Considering the price for all of it of about 30 EUR its more than acceptable to me.
As you can see there are also printed shaped rear buttons which fit perfectly.

As soon as I get the parts from Kite I can start final assembly.
There are a lot of mods and tweaks in this model, so feel free to ask.

Its designed to fit the GBA Cartridge Reader, Rear Buttons with contact pads from a NES Controller.
Button Wells made smaller to fit the Aftermarket NES Controller buttons.
Integrated housings to fix the mode button and On/Off Switch without any glue.
Redesigned the Screen Bracket to be screwed onto the front shell.
Added Labels on the Shell for the actual usage.
Speaker Fixation bracket.
Preparation to integrate a 3DS Joystick.
Battery Tray cleaned and modified for Samsumg S2 Battery with pogo pins.

Aww man they're awesome!
Where did you get those printed?
Is there much residue left over, or have they already been cleaned?

It looks like as the shop would have sandeded it already on the outer surface as some letters already nearly gone.
There is very little residue left, nothing that cant be fixed with the sharp knife.
But you can also some areas where the wall thickness was to thin you can see it from the outside.
Need thicken that areas next time. Also Letters needs to be deeper to allow sanding of the surface. Now it was only 0,2mm deep.
On the pic you can see the PHONES letters bit washed out but acceptable to me.

how much did it cost you to get it printed....

also you might have missed a trick, you can put anything on it (nintendo GAME BOY, not really needed)

Amazing work. What about the stability compared to the original case? Where was that printed?
