How to connect 5 pin sound wheel to PAM module?

Post by Al3x360 » Sat Oct 21, 2017 5:48 am

Hello everyone,

I bought an audio amp for my gbz, it works well, but I want to add a potentiomerter wheel to reduce volume. I can't find how to wire up the wheel. I have a PAM8403 amp. Can anyone with same setup help me please :)

I don't plan to put the earphones at the moment.

try this......

substitute the screens board for a USB sound card or other device....

and if you want to connect directly to the speakers, just dont wire to the headphone socket (straight to the speakers)

or just buy this PAM8403 amp with comes with a volume wheel....

I tried your method and all the potentiometers were catching fire, I used my cell phone at mid volume, then smoke was coming from the potentiometer...

Edit : I think my headphone jack from my mobile output too powerfull so too much current

you tried a method which is tried and test, not just by me but by alot of other.....

for smoke to be coming out of the potentiometers, you've wired it incorrectly.....

are you sure of the correct pinouts for your potentiometers

post some pics of your wiring......
