Screen Glass
Screen Glass
So When I'm dremeling/sanding out the hole for the screen, do I leave a tiny bezel that my screen can adhere to? Or do most people put the glass right on top of the screen. The glass seems to be adhesive everywhere.

Re: Screen Glass
You must left at least 2mm to be able to glue the glass protection. This method will allow perfect alignement with the case.
If you glue the protector over the screen, it will stay under the top case and this will not be good looking

Re: Screen Glass
i personally wouldnt glue the screen protector to the shell/case.....
if you by mistake mess it up or are over zealous with the glue, it will make your whole build look like c@#p....
i've always used this.....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IPod-iPhone-i ... SwwPhWiH2J
its strong enough for the screen protector to be fixed there semi-permanently...
which mean if for what ever reason you want to remove it (it gets cracked or scratched) it can be removed.....
if its strong enough to hold a iphone or ipad screen, its more than adequate for a screen surround......
.
Re: Screen Glass
I used this as well and it secures the screen like a window in a tank. One thing to consider though: The tape is black. On my black build you dont even see it underneath the glass, but with my white build it looked like shit, and I removed the glass screen altogether...VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 1:48 ami've always used this.....

if your using a clear screen surround, then what else can you expect (you need to apply it better).....
its double sided tape, it meant to adhere two things together.... not mask up things....
and you definitely cant be using glue on a clear surround...
but if your using a printed screen suround like most people do, you shouldnt notice it.....

Sure, just saying, so nobody's dissapointed or can search for his own color if needed.VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 2:17 am

Re: Screen Glass
i doubt you'll find a range of colours in these tapes (there meant for concealed adhesion)Fredl wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 2:40 amSure, just saying, so nobody's dissapointed or can search for his own color if needed.VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 2:17 am
