Do we need a setup script or something to get this working? I see that you have some wires soldered to the GPIO pins on the pi, will that need reprogramming?

Yes there is a script I wrote for the battery monitoring and the on demand shutdown switch. It's all in an easy install script. Link and instructions will be posted before shipping.
