Apparently random audio

Post by marketus » Sat Jun 24, 2017 4:44 pm

Good night, I'm realizing audio output runs when it wants to. When I have no sound on any game I go to Retropie> Audio options and set it like 3.5mm or Auto or HDMI or Mixer, it doesn't matter, sometimes it work and other doesn't. My wiring is OK because at the end I can get audio but after lots of restarts and changing Auto to HDMI/mixer or anything. Do you know why is it?

Nope, just gpio sound. I already edited config.txt and it worked, but I rebooted (file saved) and no sound, then it runs. I don't know why, it's like when I plug an usb the ground conection or something force audio to work ( most of the times). I don't know...

Ok cool. So do you have any pics of the wiring? / Internals?

I can draw a schema because I had to reduce the measures of the cartridge wires and can't open the case entirely. Everything works super but the sound, sometimes works sometimes doesn't.
The wiring is exactly like wermy

Ahh I see - Without visuals it's hard to comment as it could be a number of things. The fact it's intermittent might suggest interference or bad wiring etc. While your schema might be the same as Wermy, with respect there still might be a problem you haven't spotted.
