It is oldschool, super funny and the Gameboy sits tight, There is also space for the charging cable.

Have you tried a Pelican case? Maybe the 1060 portable would work.... I have one at home (I'm away for the weekend) and can test fit it when I get home.

Yeah, Pelican makes military style transportation cases used for transporting equipment through the harshest environments.

You should look them up.

I tested the case out and it fits the DMG case.
