Tom's noob first GBZ

Post by tomsupergreen » Sat Jan 21, 2017 11:39 am

Hi everyone,

now it's time for me to start my GBZ project. Based on lot of thing I saw here... However I need some help for wiring my safe shutdown (Banggood edition V1.0).

Here is what I plan do to.

Image

Is anyone (camble) could confirm that is correct ?

Plus, I have to idea how to wire those pins on the safe shutdown

• Octagonal V+ is the positive voltage connection on the BangGood supply.
• Octagonal V- is the negative voltage connection on the BangGood supply.
• Octagonal B+ is the positive battery connection on the BangGood supply.
• Square PP1 is the positive connection for supplying your components with power.
• Square PP6 is the negative connection for supplying your components with power.

Please, I need your help on that.

Tom

You have an Adafruit PB not a bangood one why not just buy his new PB safe shutdown PCB? he has opened a new sale thread for them.

You can use it with the PowerBoost, but you need it between your PowerBoost output and your components.

Connect 5v/Gnd of the PowerBoost to V+ and V-.
Connect PP1 and PP6 to 5v In and Gnd In of your power breakout board.
Connect B+ to Vs or Bat on the PowerBoost, or simply use the PowerBoost LBO pin to GPIO17.

Bear in mind your PowerBoost won't switch off, but the Safe Shutdown board will cut the output to everything else.

Hi Camble! If we use the Banggood safe shutdown with the PowerBoost. Which monitor do we install? GBZ-Power-Monitor_BG or GBZ-Power-Monitor_PB?

TIA!
