RetrOrange Pi
Pretty cool alternative to RetroPie for Orange Pi boards: http://orangepi.club/forumdisplay.php?fid=5
They took their download links down for the time being as they sort out some licensing things (I think that's what I read anyway) but a big v3.0 update is apparently on the way soon.

Re: RetrOrange Pi
I have bought one a week ago, still waiting for it to arrive. Bought the orange pi one, 512Mb ram
It's pretty cool i think, since it's quad core, beating the pi zero.. And it's working with retropie
Soon a project i'll start with

This is the facebook group for this image: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1131759626884432/
It is pretty good if you need help.
Also, a mirror to the old Version 2.5.2 can be found here for the Orange PI PC:

And here for the Orange Pi One:

Thanks! I was just trying to find this the other night.Fleder wrote:This is the facebook group for this image: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1131759626884432/

Re: RetrOrange Pi
@Fleder
Thanks!! I was searching a lot for those, with no positive results.
I was making some research and come up with some negative facts of those orange pi boads. The main one was heat. They can generate hot up to 90+ºC, making them inviable for GB projects...
Even for gba, with heat sinks, i thinks it cant be made..
So only usefull for media center or console creation...
Any thoughts by you guys?

Re: RetrOrange Pi
I think the most OPi boards will be too big either way. I have no idea about the heat generation on the Orange Pi Zero boards,correia5022 wrote:The main one was heat. They can generate hot up to 90+ºC, making them inviable for GB projects...

those are pretty small and could be a good alternative.
For the other boards, there is a software and hardware solution to those heat problems,
since the main cause of those seems to be a wrong setting for the overclocking.
I will try to find the thread again, where they managed to find solution to reduce the heat significantly.
Also, you can slap on some of those small heat sinks, that camble sells, for instance.
Just make sure you get some with actual heat pads instead of just cheap self adhesive.

Re: RetrOrange Pi
As soon as i get my hands on mine, i'll give feedback. I ordered some heat sinks, and i think i have thermal glue somewhere..
I'm still thinking on what to do with it tho..
There is also some "limitations" to powering it, they require a good power supply, at least 2A, so it's a bit difficult to find those boards that charge a battery and suply 2A at a time.. i'm thinking on buying the comun 3.7v 5v microUSB Usb power board and then a step up board to boost it to 2A..

Re: RetrOrange Pi
Does that cover the OPi PC2? I ordered one of those and one of the older PC to test out.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

Unfurtunately, no.Helder wrote:Does that cover the OPi PC2? I ordered one of those and one of the older PC to test out.
The OPi Zero and Opi PC2 do have other CPU Hardware. But they are working on ROPI for those 2 Boards already.
But meanwhile you can use it for the OPi PC, , though.
