It's 2100 mah, should last longer than adafruit's 2000mah then.

3.8 v was no problem. I soldered wires onto mine without problems too. Plus and minus were easy to find with volt meter. It has 2600 mah and that was great too (better than 2000 from adafruit)

Only problem: it did not fit in the Gameboy because of the screw posts. It fits, but then you can't insert the screws because it does not fit through the battery hole. Also if you screw first, then try to insert the battery later, the door does not close.

I needed it to be about 2mm smaller, so I thought I would remove the case. DO NOT DO THAT! I accidentally removed a tiny microchip and ruined the whole battery. Turns out that chip is the protection, so my battery is now too dangerous to use ><
Alright thanks! This might fit since it's a bit smaller than yours. 2100mah. I believe it's from a galaxy s3
I am currently using a battery from a Galaxy S3 and it works fine.

Awesome. Did you solder directly to the battery or did you get the connectors?

Be extremely cautious with this, as your battery could burn/explode because of too much heat!

I have been monitoring it, and not had any issues so far.

No, i don't mean during use, i mean during soldering directly onto those pads.
Once you've soldered it on and the battery did not explode into your face,
melting off your precious little eyeballs you need to build the GBZ,
you should be safe. But the heat that generates by soldering onto the pads can be enough to damage it.

Hi @ All,

Is it possible to use glue instead of soldering to minimize the heat?? Maybe use tape band to fix the wire onto the pads?
I got a battery of a LG G4 Phone with 3000mah  i would be happy if i ca use this Battery with the Powerboost 1000c.

I'm using an extended battery for an old Galaxy s3 with over 3500mah. Solder the wired right to the contacts. Works and fits great. Also covered the soldering with hot glue to prevent any shorting.

I bought a new S4 battery and was thinking about cutting a broken s4 frame and fit it into my GB body. So I can insert the battery instead of soldering on it. Any idea if that will work? I already cut away the original battery compartment of the GB
