Safe Shutdown Problems with PocketPI FE

Hi all, I seem to have a power leak with my PocketPI FE: I fully charge the battery and play for about 10min. After that I shutdown the unit using the safe shutdown. Using the device one day later for about 5min. shows the battery at 50%. Two days later the device will not power on anymore unless I ...

Re: pi not powered?

First, I would try and make the battery charging work. For the charging to work, there must be a connection between the respective IN ports (lower left and write) and the USB (you did already check that this works) and between the B ports and the respective battery traces. When charging works (red L...

Re: pi not powered?

The blue LED indicates fully charged. Turning on the Pi would turn on the red LED (load). I would guess that there's a connection issue between the Pi and the TP4056. Unfortunately I don't know how the safe shutdown PCB is implemented, so I would first check for continuity of the TP4056's Out pins t...

Re: Qi charger getting seriously hot

Thanks for the suggestion, that could really be the case since I've been using a 2.0A rated charger. I also noticed that it wasn't the coil but the Qi PCB that got hot.

Would you suggest going lower than 1.0A?

[SOLVED] Qi charger getting seriously hot

Hi all, I just finished my build a few days ago and it turned out great! Thanks for this awesome kit. However, I just tried the Qi charger for the first time, besides a basic test on build finish. After ten minutes of charging I noted that the cartridge (basically the Qi coil) was extremely hot. Thi...

Original Gameboy Null with 3D printed case

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share/show off my first build. It's an original GB Null from Ampersand with a 3D printed case an custom PWM audio. Unfortunately I forgot to take the final pre-case-closeup pictures, therefore the audio is not yet wired to the Pi on the respective picture. I've been ...
