Re: Screen noise like you wouldn't beleive
Seems to be a power problem to me. When powered from output of the pi, it goes crazy like that. When powered by my powerboost, everything is OK.

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute
is there any chance someone has ordered a screen recently (within the last few days on amazon) and gotten one with a small board? Most links I try seem to direct me to the seller ATian Direct which I ordered from and ended up receiving one with the large board and no way to trim off one side to rem...

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute
Currently using the BW car display on Amazon and it seems to work ok without having to chamge/remove the voltage regulator. The image came on for about 5 seconds the first time i switched it on, but it stays on now np. The only thing i've noticed is that there are flickering/hazy lines over the ima...

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
I have the same board! I got it working by putting 5v to the input of the 3.3 regulator, see pic: http://i.imgur.com/SV6Shw4.jpg However the quality is .... less than I had expected. Text is virtually unreadable, and the colors don't look as good as other people's results. Might not be the right way...

No-go on the native 5V, had to place a jumper to the 3.3 regulator's input. See pic:

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute
Got my display in today, from this amazon US listing. Doesn't look like any of the different BW versions listed on the Wiki. Havn't tried feeding it 5v yet to see what it does.
