I highly doubt it's that resolution but if it let us know as I'd like to pick one up and being 3 inch screen is also appealing to me as well. It's hard to find something that is good. I don't want to buy stuff that is wrong or not usable or could be better. Or maybe im overdoing it and shouldn't be...

Yep, in your diagram wermy just connected all the blue lines together on the switches, and only had one blue line going from the switches to the board.

I used adafruit switches, and they're too tall to fit between the board and buttons.

That is an I2C board. If you do not know what I2C is or how to use it, do not get that board, as to my knowledge there are no tutorials available on it. What you need is one of the many "common ground" boards available here and on ebay. Kitch has one too: http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/common-...

That pad has a trace that leads somewhere, do you have a multimeter you can use, maybe find what component that trace runs to and wire it there?
