Re: Unibit vs. regular drill bit
I've got little experience in this area but I recently found out that method would give a perfect finish: *pilot hole at small diameter (like abrugsch keenly said) with drill press if you have *then use metal drill at target hole diamter minus 1 also with drill press *MANUALLY drill with metal drill...

Re: Marc's GBZ
Thank you abrugsch! Indeed, it's a mix of hand-etched and re-use of original PCB. Yes I use KiCad and I love it :-) This little program allow you to create amazing PCB with very little ressources, BTW I'm still on XP. I made the button landing pads myself directly with copper trace. The R and L are ...

Marc's GBZ
Hi, first of all thank you for all the contributors of this forum! I learnt a lot and I didn't think this kind of project was feasible until I stumbled here last summer. My first reaction was: these guys are crazy. To quote master Obiwan: "Who is more foolish the fool or the fool who follows?" Now m...

Re: Save States?
I read carefully what you wrote, and I think I understand the root cause of your problem. :D ---I would first press and hold "Select" key, and then press R or L, and then release "Select".--- Also you can change hotkey behavior and verify your mapping in retroarch setup UI; I mean you don't have to ...

Re: 3.7V Li-ion Battery Mini USB To USB A Power Supply Module
Mine had too much leakage on the battery (roughly 10mA as far as I can remember) so I ditched it and went for another solution.

Re: [FOR SALE] CNC acrylic stand for Game Boy
Hi, I have just sold the spare one that I had :D I machined it on a little CNC that is good enough for prototyping, but not tailored for production. If some people (10 min) show interest on it, I may start a batch from a local manufacturer that I know here in France, the price would be around 25€ pe...

Re: Induction Charger
Hello guys, here is a complement to the tuto (or sort of...) above. If like me you are using a TP4056 module to charge you 1S lipo, its' better considering reducing the charging current so it wont draw too much current from the QI receiver. http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/40350620161108135709.jpg I...

Re: Skipping the teensy all together?
I also skipped the teensy (and dunno WTF it is BTW, just kidding); you can safely wire directly to the RPI GPIO because of the internal pull-up.
Then you can use retrogame program from adafruit; it's really easy. It worked like charm for me on two different projects.

Re: contrast wheel?
Hi, basically I would use tamiya putty and a piece of plastic. Here is the procedure (lesson learnt from model making): *cut a piece of plastic from a used credit card or store card or any piece of plastic that is just thick enough but not that much so you can trim it easily. *pre-paint it in white ...
