Re: Alexln's Game Boy Zero
They shouldn't be. I've tried resoldering them several times. I've even changed the cables once as well.DylK wrote:Are your USB data wires on the Pi shorting on each other? It's hard to tell from the pics but they look awfully close.

Re: Alexln's Game Boy Zero
Looking good. I'm at about the same stage with mine which is the same screen/AIO combo. Have you had any luck getting it together? I can't find a spot for the Pi because of the display board placement. I have the exact same problem. I ended up glueing the pi in place atop the DS-lite cartridge (see...

Re: Alexln's Game Boy Zero
So i received Helders AIO board yesterday and was so excited, that i spent most of the day working on the gameboy! I can't finish it yet, as i'm still waiting on Cambles safe shutdown and new speakers (as the old were too big to fit). 2016-11-14 10.24.53.jpg I bought some Kafuter 704 silicone rubber...

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case
Huge weekend update What I didn't do is add a slight taper to the sides... the original Gameboy does have it (goes from 90mm to 89mm). Another thing I won't add is a cutout for the contrast slider. First we won't use it anyways and if we were to go with a hdmi cutout that fits better to the back ca...

Re: Alexln's Game Boy Zero
Looking good, you've got the same helping hand as me, I see you've got it weighted down with a hammer. It's really annoying the way it keeps tipping over isn't it? I find a few big bits of blu-tack around the base can help steady it too. What kind of speaker is that by the way, do you have a link? ...

Re: Alexln's Game Boy Zero
Here's a picture of the modified speaker next to an unmodified version: 2016-10-09 15.45.07.jpg I've decided to clean the original screen protector with acetone. I won't be using it for this build. But i have enough materials for another build (once i've ordered Kite's Super AIO). 2016-10-09 17.22....

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case
Update: Made some progress and decided it was time to share it; http://i.imgur.com/zTV6Ht3.png - The corner, already did it last week but had not shared it yet - Tried the gameboy pocket style speaker grill to see if it would even work out; should have looked better as it's to close to the corner b...

Re: Psy128 2nd gbz
Is that blu-tack you are using instead of glue? Or is it just an easy temporary method of fixing the components? I use blue tack help map out the internals if it fits I'll glue it in if it don't I can make a small adjustment test fit the case then glue in place. Also for beginners its good to help ...
