@3y3c0ugh I've wired up pretty much according to your picture above, you need to change the wiring to the power switch. the wires need to be on the other 2 contacts. When off, this basically needs the connection bridged in order for the powerboost to stay in OFF mode. when the connection is broken,...

Just a thought... Can you temporarily disconnect the USB hub from the Pi0 and see if that's what's causing the flicker? If I'm not mistaken, you're also using the "octopus" hub that I used before and it seems the reviews are correct that this hub isn't reliable. I changed to another variant of this...
