Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

@144TECH I might ad that I am using a volume wheel (always have been) and shielded speaker wire but still get these issues :( Everything wired as per Helders diagram. Clearly there is a resistance issue somewhere so hopefully I can find it. Unfortunately this is no longer my primary concern as my G...

Re: Just finished GBZ, Having trouble loading ROMS

That's cool that worked for you. The advantage of the disconnect is the keyboard and buttons continue to work fine.

Re: Just finished GBZ, Having trouble loading ROMS

Solution found. Issue: Retropie will not write subfolders to the blank SD Card folder "retropie". Normally after installing Retropie, one would simply format an extra micro SD card and add new folder "retropie". Then plug in a card reader to micro usb slot on the Pi and Retropie will automatically c...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

Can you confirm fro the picture that the negative speaker wire and red wire from the perf board both go to the negative speaker pad? Cheers[/quote] Yes you will have two wires going to the "Speaker -" pad. All of my wiring is done as per Helder's diagram. Then I added the resistors as described and ...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

Solution found! Thanks @Helder. :D Issue: Extremely choppy and quiet audio through speaker. Solution: Added resistors as suggested by Helder which, instantly increased the volume and reduced the choppiness to a very playable level. No other steps were required apart from hookup as shown on Helder's ...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

I like to see that too, or a video from it. I'm at work now, but I did take a photo of the GBZ before closing it up last night. You can't see the resistors well (they're right on top of the speaker, unfortunately), but the mini-board I made was pretty basic. I soldered the two resistors to the perf...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

@Helder I've got everything working now, thanks to your help. I bought some shielded wire and used it for the PWM0 and 1 connections. This change, in combination with the new resistors did the trick. The sound out of the speaker and headphone are good and consistent, just like my first GBZ build. G...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

This sounds basically like the same problem I'm having. I was wondering if it is related to the mixing of left and right channels somehow, as the sound cuts in and out quickly as you described. But this is just speculation, I'm really not sure why this problem is occurring. It could be the resistor...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

I'm experiencing something similar to the issue reported by @xfcrowman, figured I'd chime in case it helps with troubleshooting: Issue - game music through speaker is almost inaudible and cuts out intermittently between random clicks - approximately 2 per second. Switching to headphones in jack, the...
