Re: LED C43 is dead - impossible to charge GBZ

Ok so it's wired to the battery the other way round? That's generally a really bad idea, you can remove the cables from the plastic end with a small knife, lift up the 'tab' and pull out the cable. It'll come out very easily.

With USB ONLY does it boot? Have you tried other USB ports or adapters?

Re: Gem dpad moving on its own

Leaving in that little plastic thing inside the membrane helps a little, also clean the button pads on the PCB with alcohol. You could also check out the FAQ and add a little more solder to those solder holes (for the direction buttons)

Re: LED C43 is dead - impossible to charge GBZ

From one of those pics, I can see you have plugged the battery in the wrong way round! You have the polarity backwards.. Fix the polarity, and you'll at least be able to boot it up, however you will have already fried the charging portion. I can repair it for a fee, if you're interested please send ...

Re: Circuit Sword Lite - how to connect rear buttons

Yeah you can do any of those options, probably soldering to L2/R2 would be best in case you ever wanted to change it up in the future. It's not like they're in the way or anything :)

Re: LED C43 is dead - impossible to charge

That's a capacitor, could you remove the board from case and desolder it. It is best to apply solder to both sides and angle the iron so that it melts both sides at same time. Once removed clean the pads on the board up a bit so that there are no shorts. It is not required for charging to work.

Re: Analog sticks on CS

There are very few dualshock supported ones. The joystick doesn't act as the dpad unless the specific app allows that. If you run jstest /dev/input/js0 from the command line, and move the joystick you should see the values stream up the screen/terminal :) Providing that works, there is no hardware p...

Re: Screen just flashes between RGBW

Hm ok, i'm not really too sure to be honest, it might be best to send to me with the screen and I'll find out what's wrong. It could be the LCD screen but it might end up being a waste of time just sending it out if it isn't that! Could you send me an email and i'll give you the details and we'll so...

Re: Screen just flashes between RGBW

From the pictures it doesn't look to have pierced the FPC, just dented it, if you wiggled or pressed that area and suddenly it came to full life then that would show it being that, but from inital looking it looks alright. I would re-work those pins a tiny bit first anyway, on the Pi side of the boa...

So if I have been using a CM3 and want to swap over to the CM3+, do I simply use ./update.sh and swap out the modules or do I have to reflash the new image and start fresh?
Yep, ./update.sh first, then swap. If anything goes wrong you can just use the newest image (and no update needed)

Re: Screen just flashes between RGBW

Check the LCD connector for debris, and check the LCD FPC and clean it. Second, it's likely one of the signal lines not soldered :) you may find pressing the Pi affects it? Re work the LIGHT GREEN highlighted pins in the pic below. NOTE that this picture is looking at the BOTTOM of the board. Also n...
