Re: SQLEinstein's 1st GameBoy Zero

SQL, Looks nice! And I really like that smoked out case. It looks like you were going for the all black theme for the GBZ, and I just bought the black replacement silicone buttons from kitsch-bent for my wife's GBZ and they are sweet, and it is a black start/select button. I am at work, don't have a...

Hi,
what did you use to cover the screen?
Looks like the one from kitsch-bent. I've ordered a few from him, great cover, peel and stick. Totally worth it. There is a link to his store in the sudo-market place, I cant get on there from work though, so I cant give the exact link.

Re: GBZ User Guide / Manual

I made one for a buddy that I built a GBZ for. It was a start, I intended to add more, but this is the basics, I felt, and I have yet to get back to it. If anyone else wants to add to it, or start up a community driven one, that would be great. I added a zip file of the pdf of what I made and a scre...

Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack

I agree with HoolyHoo, the only thing I cut out in the 3 I made with kites board is the original headphone Jack bracket off the back of the battery compartment. I left the rest completely intact.

Re: Button height

I had that issue on my one gbz, I used after market black buttons. Anyway, I had thin "plasti-card" stock, I don't remember the thickness offhand. I cut out a small shim of it and stuck it inside the button, so it sits between the button and the membrane. You can play with different material for dif...

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case

I agree. I wanted them printed to check the feel, but I definitely don't want them on mine. I am putting mine together now, and I have tact switches and extra button wells, was thinking of putting regular front face buttons on the back instead. But I did want to try those out, maybe for a second one...
