Re: Bug's first Pi 3 Gameboy
Here are some pictures of the stripped Pi 3! I went the I-Don't-Trust-Myself-With-An-Iron route and removed the metal casing on the ports with my flush cutters, clipped each pin down, then removed the plastic interior and trimmed the pins very short. Because I went this route, however, I'm using the...

Re: BW screen variant 9 working without mod
No, I just soldered to it but I have a slightly different variant. After soldering all my flickering went away, so I stopped there.

Re: Audio Help
First try just a speaker hooked up. If you still have static, try another speaker. If you still do, then try changing volume level or just take the usb audio route. MAKE SURE YOUR WIRES ARE NICE AND SHORT. If the speaker works on its own but it goes nuts with the wheel, try the wheel with another so...

Re: BW screen variant 9 working without mod
Yeah, I have one like that. If you have the skill, I would definitely advise modding it anyway, because that's where the flickering is coming from. If you don't feel comfortable modding it, don't worry, because the flickering is pretty easy to get used to.

Re: 5V Input for New BW Screen Variant?
Well, it wouldn't hurt to try wiring power to the alt. points. Do that first. You *may* be able to check if those points (the IC points and the alt. points) are connected with a multi-meter. If they aren't, or their seems to be a filter, then you can know that those alt. points don't work for 5v. Yo...

Re: Bug's first Pi 3 Gameboy
No pics yet (sorry) but last night I did carve out the battery compartment and test fit pads. The cutting of my nes pads were uneven, so I ordered some GB pads. My 3d printer (a printrbot play) is out of commission for a broken hotend. :( I'm trying to print my parts somewhere else, but no luck so f...

Re: Running Hoolyhoo's scripts without the mintypi image
I followed everything on the readme, and noticed you needed to run the first command as root. After that, It installed well. However, like you said, nothing worked. The function button didn't do anything, nor did the monitor. My screen did darken if held select for a few seconds, but that's all. I d...
