Re: Progressive scan on composite
Setting sdtv_mode=2 will simply set the output to PAL interlaced. The reason why the menu may look a bit better is that PAL is a higher resolution (576 visible lines instead of 480 lines). While the game menu will have more resolution; the games you're emulating will all be designed to run in NTSC (...

Progressive scan on composite
Hi all I've been using my game boy zero for a few months now, it's amazing. One thing that bothered me though was that the composite output on the raspberri pi was interlaced, for such a small screen it's less noticable but still annoying, some games it's more obvious where text will shift up/down 1...

Re: Wi-Fi usb adapter not working
First find out if the usb device is detected by the system, it should come up if you type in lsusb . It should also be listed when typing in lsmod . If it's not listed then could be a power or data connection problem. Double check your cabling and try isolate your data wires (try twist positive and ...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread
Edit: Threw a pair of 5 ohm resistors through to the speaker. Volume is great on the speaker now. The volume is very high on the headphone jack but it's much easier to adjust the volume slider just right. There is a lot of noise on the headphone jack, will change the PWM to shielded cables if it st...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread
Mulitimeter says 10.4ohm for R15 and R16 So you have audio going to the speaker with the 6 pin socket or not? Kind of... without modifying the board I only get audio on the speakers if I plugin something to the 3.5mm jack and then remove it. When I do that I get a good volume sound from the speakers...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread
Hi Helder Thanks for taking the time to answer all of our questions. My AIO board came with a 6 pin headphone jack, no sound through the speaker, headphones work fine, also plugging in headphones and then removing them means the speaker works fine. Bridging the 6th pin on the jack had no effect. Bri...

Re: Gearbest 3.5 Screen Variant B?
That's the one, i've attached a photo of where you should put your 5v in. Although like I mentioned before the screen did work fine for me without the modification, so try that first; I only modded mine to debug an issue which turned out to be something else anyways. The screen won't turn on without...

Re: Gearbest 3.5 Screen Variant B?
Your images don't seem to load, but if it's a recent gearbest purchase than it's likely the same board that I received. It actually works fine with 5V out of the box. Test yours out and see. If you do want to modify it to skip the regulator (can make it a bit more stable + more efficient with power,...

Re: Wi-Fi usb adapter not working
Hi I have that same usb adapter, mine says "EW-7811Un" as the model number on the box. I'm using helders all in one board and I found I had to put the pi in to USB 1.1 mode to get it to work. I tried twisting the + and - USB cables together first and that didn't seem to help. You can find the instru...

Re: Powerboost unstable without battery connected
I replaced the micro USB cable and the problem went away. Solid blue light, others are completely off. Power draw went down to 600mA as well, sounds like the dodgy cable was leaking electrons all over the place.
Thanks for the suggestions.
