Your wiring is ok! The wiring on the picture is very simelar: these guys just make use of the internal bridge inside thise switches from left to right. You can measure this: upper left and right are bridged and lower left and right are bridged in these switches. So you can enter your ground on one ...

Ive been wiring tac switches like this (see pic) but when i look at other peoples projects they seem to do it differently. Am I just crazy and they are doing it like this and I cant see it? Thanks! I used a textured PEI steel sheet which gives it that finish and does a pretty good job of hiding the layer lines.
