Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword (+ Lite), Circuit Shield + Circuit Gem - OPEN

Is there any difference between circuit sword and shield besides the size? I like circuit shield because of the analog feature but would prefer if circuit sword had it as well. The sword fits inside a gameboy dmg shell, the shield fits inside a gameboy pocket shell. The joystick solders directly to...

Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword (+ Lite), Circuit Shield + Circuit Gem - OPEN

Ordered one last Circuit Shield. I don’t need it but the last one I built was easily the best gameboy emulator I’ve ever built and I’ve used it on a daily basis since the day it arrived. Glad to be getting one of your last orders Kite, sad to see them go, but interested to see what you’re up to next...

JoyCon stick strange behaviour

Hello all, I have a joy con stick connected to a Circuit Sword and it's working but at the extremes of movement it is giving secondary input. So if gently pushing up on the stick it moves up. Push the stick all the way up and it moves up and right. Same issue with other directions. Is there a settin...

Re: Kite Circuit Shield Build Tips

It works surprisingly well! I can’t figure out the cfg file though, I copied your config and dropped it in to a config.cfg file in retropie/configs/nds/drastic/config/ from file browser but L2 and R2 don’t seem to switch screens, the joystick doesn’t work and A and B are swapped. Any clues? How did ...

Re: I have some questions about 3d printing

I always wanted to print my own action figures, but at college,my teacher brought a 3d printer and printed a sphere, and it had VERY ROUGH edges and textures, how do I manage to print something that has a smooth texture, like the usual plastic figures? For nice, smooth figure prints you want a resin pr...

Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword (+ Lite), Circuit Shield + Circuit Gem - CLOSED

Hey I'm just about to be done with my build but I'm getting a white screen. I've tried a couple of images, RetroPie 4.3, 4.5, and 4.6 as well as the Freeplay CM3 RetroPie 4.6 image. Is there something I'm missing? Yep, you need to use a distribution from Kite which will have the necessary drivers f...

Re: Kite Circuit Sword & Switch joy con issue

Yes, green to 5 not 3. 3 is for the joystick button (clicking the stick in). You could wire it as an extra button if you wanted to but it’s not part of kite’s cs wiring and there aren’t any games that need or use it really. The only thing I can think looking at your pictures is the ribbon cable may ...

Re: Kite Circuit Sword & Switch joy con issue

Hmm, maybe try resetting your controller configuration? Retropie setup>Manage packages>Manage core packages>Emulationstation>Configuration/options> Clear/Reset Emulation Station input configuration>Yes>OK then keep exiting and reboot. Be careful when configuring the joystick as the joycon seems much...

Re: Kite Circuit Sword & Switch joy con issue

Did the calibration have values for both x and y? When you configure the input is it showing x+\- or y+\- for up and down?

Re: Kite Circuit Sword & Switch joy con issue

Your wiring looks ok to me. Did you run the joystick calibration from ssh? ...I did not. What is this "joystick calibration" or which you speak? https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sword/wiki/Circuit-Sword-FAQ#how-do-i-enable-joysticks I don’t actually know if this is the solution, just trying to ...
