GRRRR! Frustrating sound issue
Ok, using info from a board member I managed to mix stereo to the mono output (I play Sonic a lot and it was annoying that I couldn't hear the sound of rings being collected properly as they alternate sound channels). It worked for a bit and then I started getting constant 'white noise', similar sou...

Re: Sound and Wifi question
Thanks to your help I now have stereo sound through the mono amp. Unfortunately now I have more interference than before. Is there any thing I can do to reduce the hiss and crackle? Maybe insulate the wires? I thought copper tape with an electrical tape covering?

Re: Sound and Wifi question
I will attempt the sound mod tonight and update with what happens. As for the Wifi, I made sure to tape up all exposed wires and connections and have it on the opposite side of the bottom of the case to the speaker. Could it be the audio amp interfering with the wireless? I've also brought another d...

Re: Sound and Wifi question
For the sound no need for weird configuration, just short the left and right wire on the input of your amplifier Won't this still only give me the left channel as there's no right channel output from the Pi? Or do you mean get stereo output from the Pi and connect the left and right wires at the amp?

Sound and Wifi question
Hi all, Two quick questions. Firstly with the sound. Is there any way to get the raspberry Pi to down mix stereo to the mono output? With the current mono wiring I am getting one channel (So hearing half the music/FX) but is it possible to mix the L & R sound to a single output for the mono amp/spea...

Re: PWM Audio Guide
I have mono audio working but..... As an example, playing Sonic the sound of the ring collection alternates between the left and right channel. As its set up now I only get every second ring sound. I thought as mono sound it would mix both left and right and output both mixed to one speaker. I have ...

Resistors and Capacitors Question
Hi all, I was reading part 5 and went to order the gear for the low pass filter. However whilst searching for the capacitors I came across multiple types of the same capacitors but with different ratings (100v/50v/etc). The same goes for the capacitor for the SD card reader. Is there a specific type...

Just purchased 2 via eBay. I already have wired up the original control board in my current GBZ but still have another shell. Plus be good to have one as a spare!
