Re: Dealing with scaling artifacts on 320x240 screens

I tried out integer scaling and it seemed to hardly make a difference (I like the crispness though so I'll leave it on). I can tell the image is smaller, presumably because it's no longer scaling anything up, but i still see the vertical lines. I could not find a dithering setting in the lr-fbalpha ...

Dealing with scaling artifacts on 320x240 screens

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to deal with the graphical artifacts shown in some games that I assume are due to scaling a larger image down to the CSO 320x240 screen. One game where it is pretty obvious is in the background of the controls explanation on Blazing Star on Neo Geo (I use lr...

Re: Black and Translucent Red CM3

I found a few more pictures on my phone that I thought may be useful for some. Here's the fan, fan cartridge and the screws I used to secure them together: 20180703_191912_res.jpg 20180703_191902_res.jpg Here's the back of the case showing the fit of the Power board with support bracket securing in ...

Re: Black and Translucent Red CM3

Update: I ended up replacing the NES buttons and D-pad with classic Gameboy ones. The buttons sat just a little too low and were a bit uncomfortable to use. DMG ones feel great. The D-pad I liked but I couldn't feel that nicely defined "popping" that you get when depressing the membrane. I get a bet...

Black and Translucent Red CM3

I spent a lot of time deciding on a color scheme. I'm happy with how this little guy turned out. 20180714_113534_res.jpg Parts List: Kite Circuit Sword HoolyHoo: Fan Cartridge Glue Less Support Bracket for Kite's Mode/Power Switch Board (I think the model for this is slightly different if you are us...

Filling Light Holes with Acrylic Caulk

Working with hot glue is kind of a pain and messy, not to mention the stuff is really hot! I still wanted to have the LEDs visible outside so I decided to try an idea that another forum member mentioned, filling the holes with acrylic caulk. This stuff is really easy to clean (wipes away with a damp...

Re: Closing the holes from LED's -> my clean solution

That's awesome, i was trying to find a good light pipe solution myself but couldn't think of anything that would fit right. What I ended up using was an oral irrigator (a type of syringe) with a tip slightly smaller than the holes and filled it with acrylic caulk. I added a piece of transparent tape...

Re: CM3 Circuit Sword Fan Cartridge

Your fan cartridge, fan, back button pcb and the heatsink included with Kite's Circuit Sword all fit without issue. The heatsink does touch the button pcb (I added kapton tape to the back button pcb to isolate it), but the fan doesn't go down as far so it's no problem, it doesn't touch anything. Als...

Re: CM3 Circuit Sword Fan Cartridge

One more question, what size screws are needed to mount the fan to the cartridge?
