Re: Digital Volume Controller Switch - fitting
You can check by multimeter in resistance (beep) mode and on end of the soldered pad and the other on CC1 or CC2 .. there is actually a test pad on the board (other side though). Visually speaking, is the picture below correct on which points you are saying needs to be tested in Beep mode? https://...

Re: Digital Volume Controller Switch - fitting
Kite,
How deep from the surface are the tracings running? I've sliced up those channels pretty deep (I think), but not sure how to test if I've completely severed the connection. Are they just thin, surface tracings with almost no depth?

Re: Digital Volume Controller Switch - fitting
Here's an update. I've started positing all my Digital Volume Control switches further out past their spot on the PCB to add a little extra reach. I just pre-tin the switch pads, then pre-tin the pads on the PCB, then place the switch and wicking over Solder from the PCB pads to the switch pads. So ...

Re: Digital Volume Controller Switch - fitting
RX0 is UP TX0 is DOWN Ok so, to make this work, the user would still need to cut the tracings, then solder two wires from the Digital Controller pad to RX0 and TX0, then another wire from RX0 and TX0 to the two tact buttons?? Or are you saying that you leave the entire Digital Controller pad sectio...

Re: Digital Volume Controller Switch - fitting
Nice one! You could also do the same with 2x tactile buttons too, doesn't have to be that rocker.. I can move the land pattern outwards a bit so that if in newer boards you did solder it, it would poke out more :) I "could" put two tact switches, but I don't know if that would look/feel right. ( Ju...

Digital Volume Controller Switch - fitting
On the Circuit Sword PCB, there is an option to fit a Digital Volume Controller switch. I'm noticing where it is located, it is sitting a little too recessed in the case and in order for the user to be able to actually use it, you have to file down the outside of the case a little so that it slopes ...

Re: Markolomew's Builds
Great job Mark! I’m really liking that white on white. Haven’t seen anyone use it before :D I'm curious how the White on White comes out. I have a white screen protector and white psp1000 joystick for it as well. So White on White on White on White. Just in case it comes out a little plain, I have ...

Re: Markolomew's Builds
Are you planning on adding any back buttons? I was also wondering if the 6 in front feels cramped. Thanks I love the 6 button front layout. I have it set up as Top Row: L1, Y, X. Bottom Row: R1, B, A. I wasn't going to add back buttons, but I've decided to add PSX games, so I'm doing (at least) 2 b...
