Are you using some dedicated USB-C charger like one from the Switch or a newer phone? if you are which I'm sure you are then you need to use a 5v only charger and not a usb-c charger that can do higher voltages.
You were exactly right (I was using a switch charger). Thanks for the help!

MintyPi V3 Won't Charge

As it says in the title my newly built MintyPi v3 won't charge. The battery indicator light does not light up, and a portable charger will not turn on when plugged into the Pi. I know for sure it isn't charging, as the "Low battery, shutting down" message will still appear when it's plugged in to a ...

Re: Start Button Continuously Connected To Ground

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately that didn't solve my problem. I decided to desolder the pi from the PCB in order to find out what was going on. Once the pi was completely off the board and clean, I found that GPIO 15 was still connected to ground. I have no idea how that happened, but I figured it...

[Solved] Start Button Continuously Connected To Ground

My MintyPi was previously working fine, but after some loose wire issues that I fixed, i noticed the start button wasn't working. I checked continuity between the test pad and the pi, and I got a solid connection. Despite this the button still didn't work. After some continuity checks, I discovered ...

Tactile Pi

I've made a couple of MintyPi's in the past, but the controls always were a downside for me (usually due to me screwing them up). I disliked the unresponsiveness and large travel time, so I decided to make a MintyPi with tactile buttons. The buttons that I went with were "Uxcell 4mm x 3mm 4 Pins SMD...

Re: Mintypi Freezing Mid-Game

Try SSHing into it (there is a guide here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Use-ssh-to-talk-with-your-Raspberry-Pi/ -- you can skip the part about enabling ssh), and editing the file /etc/modprobe.d/fbtft.conf. Change the "speed=" bit to "speed=60000000" and see if that clears it up. I tried that, b...

Mintypi Freezing Mid-Game

I recently made a minty pi with the latest version of Helder's PCB (the blue one). At first all was well but recently the system started freezing after about five minutes of use. While in-game, the sound continues to play, but the screen is frozen, and I am unable to exit the game. If left on the ma...
