Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword (+ Lite), Circuit Shield + Circuit Gem - CLOSED
Kite, I sent a couple emails. I haven't received any shipping notification.

Re: Computer Desk
I created a desk with 1.75" thick butcher block and used three of these legs . I put two 72" x 32" butcher block boards together in an L-Shape with a metal bracket and internal bar joining the two blocks together for strength. It's a massive desk that is incredibly strong and heavy. Everything toget...

Re: Circuit swords not booting
I had this same problem but Kite was able to figure it out as a solder issue on the SD card slot. A hotair rework with judicious amounts of flux to allow the reflow (and keep the plastic safe) and both of my 2018 boards boot as expected now.

Re: Aluminum Case
It should be relatively easy to mill it down. Make sure you use kapton tape everywhere.

Re: Aluminum Case
I used a generic battery and velcro and affixed it to the battery door. I'll have to check on the 3d printed battery holder.

Re: Circuit swords not booting
Bump.
I have two 2018 CM3 boards that don't work. I get nothing but a grey screen. The same SD card works in a March 2018 board. I just swamped out the CM3 boards with the older one and it worked (see my build in showoff).

Re: Aluminum Case
I used some leftover MintyPi buttons. I took a 1500 grit sandpaper to the back side of it to remove the lettering and smooth it a bit.

Re: Aluminum Case
IMG_0416.jpg Final picture showing back buttons. This was perhaps the easiest build to put together. Everything just screws together and the only place I put hot-glue was to hold the speaker in place. It looks like there's going to be something to hold the speaker in place, but I didn't receive tha...

Re: Aluminum Case
You're correct. An oversight on my part. The buttons that come with your kit are almost large enough, but not quite. I did use one for the mode button which is a perfect fit.
