Re: Game Gear pi (work Log)

As to power, im using a powerboost 1000c to good effect with 2 2000mah lipos giving 4000mah, ive also set up osd power meter with a cobled together ADS1015 from a tutorial somewhere in the sudomod DMG-01 build (hoolyhoo?) I never did get the "headphone plug in turning off the speaker" thing, so the ...

Re: Game Gear pi (work Log)

Hi, Ive made two of these myself, and i can personally say, you have a lot of work ahead of you. I found HDMI ribbon connectors/headers and it made everything "easier" but i found the only way to make a display fit well is to install it upsidedown and change the settings in retropi. the drawback is ...

Re: [FOR SALE] Safe Shutdown v1.2 (for PowerBoost)

As i suspected, the tft is only running because /boot/config.txt is not referencing GPIO 22 anymore. does anyone have any ideas why this is the case? when i get a few days ill sort out a wiring diagram (i suspect its fine and its a software issue but you never know!)

Re: [FOR SALE] Safe Shutdown v1.2 (for PowerBoost)

OK, Progress... i think...

changing gpio from 22 to 13 in /boot/config.txt seems to allow booting, but the power still doesn't switch off... how long should i expect it to take with a 2500mah battery at say, 50% charge?

Re: [FOR SALE] Safe Shutdown v1.2 (for PowerBoost)

having dug a little further i have a strong suspicion that my PowerBoost is faulty, when i add a usb port (gnd and USB pins i get an orange light as normal, but the small chip next to the mini usb port gets incredibly hot immediately. im trying to sort out a replacement but ive had to wait for other...

Re: [FOR SALE] Safe Shutdown v1.2 (for PowerBoost)

Hi, i meant the powerboost doing the charging as it does in my other GBZ. I have the wiring exactly the same as the first diagram on this post, except the TFT i have uses the first 26 GPIO pins. So Im using BCM5 (Low), BCM6 (off), BCM13 (on) and pin 1 for 3.3v. This gives me a white screen i can ssh...

Re: [FOR SALE] Safe Shutdown v1.2 (for PowerBoost)

Hi Camble, ive fitted the safe Shutdown board but i cant get anything out of it because im using a spotpear clone tft! I have the pins wired to Pin 1 3.3v, BCM5 (Low), BCM6 (off), and BCM13 (on). which gives me a white screen i can ssh into. If i remove the line from /boot/config.txt it starts fine ...
