Re: GBZ on retropie help.

image.jpeg Totally did! Can't wait for the screen to get here. Thanks for the help :) let me pick your brain on one other thing regarding the SD card. I bought one of kitsch-bents cartridges and I'm having trouble wiring it up to my pi. It seems he calls that data_in and data_out test pads should b...

Ceramic vs Polyester capacitors

Howdy! I don't know nnnnnothing about capacitors.. so I ended up getting a 33nf 100V Polyester film capacitor instead of a ceramic one. Would that still work for the audio bit, or does it need to be ceramic? If it does need to be ceramic, does anyone know where I can just grab one? (I just went to r...

Removing hot glue

What is the easiest way to remove large amounts of hot glue? I have a feeling once I reach the end, I won't be able to close the case, and will probably want to start from scratch.

Re: Help with back buttons

All your buttons need to be connected to the same ground ;) You can solder the "third wire" directly on the ground you allready used on the teensy or if it's more convinient for you, on the controller PCB somewhere on your shared ground. Duh! That makes sense :) I'll give that a try and report back...

Re: Help with back buttons

Hello.. Just finished guide 4! Thanks wermy! One thing I think I messed up is the left right trigger. I wired them up to the teensy 10/11 but I'm not seeing any output (I am for all the other buttons). It's all already glued and a major pain in the butt to get out, just wondering if there is anythi...

General spacing question

Just wondering if anyone else is worried about space within the case. I've finished guides 1-4 and beginning to think there is no way this case is ever going to close. Not sure if I am keeping my wires too long, using too much glue, or just rushing things, but at the moment the case will only close ...

Re: Tutorial 3 - q & my 2 cents

Very nice, thanks for sharing! If the screw posts are raised up by 3mm, requiring you to cut them down to 3mm, you may have to trim your screws, too. Also by using the long tactile switches you may have to put them off to the side in the battery compartment rather than behind the battery. Just a co...

Re: Tutorial 3 - q & my 2 cents

windows 10 IOT version only works on the pi 2 or 3. I have been trying different screen brightness and i noticed that in some game lower brightness gives better readability, while in the emulator station a higher brightness makes everything more readable. So I think I have to change the brightness ...
