Re: Interested in making a MintyPi

Both kits are out of stock for the moment. For the lite version, you can sign up for the waitlist to be notified when it is back in stock on Helder's website. The V3 is still getting a kink or 2 worked out but will be available for preorder soon.

Re: Mintypi lite software issues

My guess is that you probably have a bad flash or a low end SD card. I would first try a reflash and if that doesn't work, get a new SD card from a reputable brand (ex: SanDisk or Samsung).

Re: Does Anyone Have A Solid File For The Mintypi Lite?

Wermy does not release the source files for the mintyPi parts; Only the STLs.

Re: Minty pi pcb

Officially, yes. There are people such as myself that sell presoldered kits or people that sell completed builds as well.

Re: Emulator set up

Yeah, that is one way to do it but that also assumes that all devices are on the same network, workgroup, samba is set up, and a few other things. Just easier to give the way that will work for most people.

Just out of curiosity, have you powered on the device at all or plugged it in in any way? If not, then don't. I'm just curious.

Re: Is connected solder on things like the l and r board and power switch bad or is it ok to keep going

It depends. If it's just cleaning up those connections, probably not too much. I think if he has to desolder and resolder the Pi, he charges $50. Just really depends how much work is involved. But he will test it, clean it, and make sure everything is working before sending it back.

Re: Is connected solder on things like the l and r board and power switch bad or is it ok to keep going

Yeah, that is not ok and will fry things fast and maybe catch on fire in the case of the battery. They need to look more like this: https://shop.ltm56.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/IMG_20200714_143410.jpg Based on the pictures, my guess this is your first time soldering. That is WAY too much solder...
