Re: Minty Pi v3 FaQ: Pre-Order Edition!

No more V3 unless someone starts making the screens it uses again or Helder raises the price to recoup the costs of the more expensive screens.

Re: Looking to buy a completed minty pi 3

There is a lite version coming soon™. It will basically be a V3 minus the halls (magnetic) shutdown, and a smaller screen I believe. It's a little more work to put together though but cheaper in the end. It will still play the exact same games as the V3 though. More info can be found in Wermy's vide...

Re: Looking to buy a completed minty pi 3

Unfortunately, the kits are not being sold anymore since Helder is not selling any more kits since he can not get the screens anymore. I still do repairs but just can not do full builds anymore.

Re: Looking to buy a completed minty pi 3

Highly unlikely. The parts themselves cost well over $100 not to mention the time for someone to assemble it. At the VERY least if someone is nice enough you could probably get one for $200-$225.

Re: System won't shut down

Are you plugged directly in to the Pi or powered through the power board? It needs to be powered through the power board for the power down to work correctly.

Re: Analog sticks on minty pi

For what purpose? All of the systems that use analog sticks do not work on a Pi Zero (aka, you wouldn't use it anyways). Plus, there is just plain no room in the tin so put the required hardware in to it. There is very minimal room with all the hardware that is in it now.

Kite does preorders every few months. Keep an eye in the for sale section and/or sign up for his waiting list on his website: https://kiteretro.com
