Re: Remapping Doom Controls for GBZ

First of all: I am interested in a solution as well! Just for the view of the menue: maybe it helps to reboot the gameboy into HDMI only ( as available since the last update from KITE) inside of retropie and view the game settings on an external HDMI screen. I'm using the circuit sword LITE - does ...

Hellweaver666's All Clear GBZ (Circuit Sword Lite)

Hey folks, I've been quietly stalking this community for a while now, trying to help where I can, but it's finally time to share my own GBZ project with the community! I ordered my CSL back in May I think but had to have it delivered to family back in the UK. It finally arrived with me just under a ...

Remapping Doom Controls for GBZ

Hey folks, I have my Pi Zero up and running based on Kites Circuit Sword Lite and have successfully installed Doom in the ports section of Retropie. Game launches fine and I can even run around the levels, but I can't shoot etc. Does anyone know how I can tweak the controls for Doom to play nice wit...

Re: Circuit Sword CM3 Manual

This is super cool! I didn't know about all those shortcuts for the mode button (I only seem to see wifi on/off and keyboard on my Lite!)

Rear buttons... I'm a little confused

Hey folks, I'm currently putting together a circuit sword lite. I've tested it and got everything working perfectly (although I managed to break the black bit on the ribbon cable connector I managed to sort that out with some superglue). I want to connect the rear button board (just L1 and R1) but I...

Looks like Erics back bracket, I think.
Nah, I just printed one of those... it's more egg shaped (unless it's changed!).

Re: Transparent cartridge shells?

So... both of the cartridges that I ordered arrived today (I ordered two each time just in case). The smoke ones are exactly the same colour as the clear ones even though they look totally different on the website!). Ah the joys of Ali express! :D

Re: My Red GBZ using Kites Circuit Sword Lite

Great colour combination! (shame about the grey cartridge though - have a look on Aliexpress, you can get aftermarket cartridges super cheap in loads of colours!)

Re: first GBZ... clear or black?

Hey, I'm using a tiny Arduino clone made by 4tronix in the UK (I bought it a while back on a whim and finally have a use for it). You could use any kind of tiny Arduino compatible. You could use an Adafruit Trinket or Gemma as they're both tiny and will easily slot into a spare place on your build. ...

Re: First GBZ build.. Joystick or not?

That depends on your build. If you're using a Pi Zero, you aren't going to have much luck playing N64 games as it's not really powerful enough. If you're doing a Pi 3b/3b+ or Compute Module you can sort of get away with some more powerful games that may play better with a joystick. Given that you've...
