Re: [Guide] Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu

Since my last post, I've been testing and playing around with different configurations. I've made these diagrams to show what exactly I did. Layout 02 seems to work but with the DMG switch behaving opposite of how it should. I'm thinking to just swap around the wires on the switch to get it to work...

Re: [Guide] Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu

Hey I have an Issue: I've copied this layout (image below) for the circuit and it just shuts down immediately when I flip the power off switch to what should be on. When the DMG switch is in the normal off state (able to remove the cartridge) the pi turns on as soon as I plug in the micro usb (I am...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

The usb is a known problem. Try adding "dwc_otg.speed=1" to cmdline.txt without the quotes. At the very least should be able to get wifi dongle working and ssh games into pi sd card. In my post I wrote that I tried the code fix, Helder said to write it in the config.txt. I've tried that and that di...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

Correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't read anywhere that the first set of boards had this usb problem, just the second set. I tried shielded wire but floated both ends, today I'll ground one end and see what that does. I'll also add the line to slow down the speed. Its a known problem with version 1.4...

Re: [Guide] Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu

Okay. Ill be using the Powerboost 1000c. Is there any way to get the battery status without aditional hardware? The PowerBoost has an LBO pin which you can wire directly to a GPIO pin. The pin will go from 0v to battery voltage when the battery drops below 3.2v. My circuit has a protective diode an...

Re: Retropie won't boot up - what happened?

Turning off the gameboy without properly shutting down can corrupt your sd card. It appears that is what happened to you. Look for graceful shutdown mods in this forum. I believe @camble is selling a pcb to help you with this or you can make your own.

Re: [Guide] Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu

I think the problem with the JFET's is that there is variance with the tolerance on the pinch off voltage even among same brands. So some might work while others do not.

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread

@hueblo I can tell you that shielding the usb cables did not fix my usb issues. I used really good shielded cables but no go. The usb works with my keyboard but still have issues with wifi dongle. At least everything else is running good on mine.
