Re: Button Suggestions for Mounting Inside Cartridge?

I did just notice a bug in the Mintybatterymonitor script that would cause pngview to constantly keep reloading the battery icon when it didn't need to. Line 31 of MintyBatteryMonitor.py: iconsState = percent should be: iconState = percent Can't test it at the moment, but it might help some of the s...

Re: Button Suggestions for Mounting Inside Cartridge?

I will note that using the Pi-based solution for dimming the screen on a Gearbest composite LCD resulted in some really significant slowdown in game emulation. Also, there's a fair amount of ground-loop noise when dimming the screen that way. A lot of games are downright unplayable when the PIGPIOD ...

Re: Button Suggestions for Mounting Inside Cartridge?

FYI.. That rocker switch worked pretty well. I ended up using one of the hatted tact switches on top of the shell for the hotkey.

Re: How-to: Use USB Audio in Retropie v3.7

I previously had USB sound working, then it cut-out mid-game while playing NES. Now, my Pi doesn't even seem to see the USB soundcard.. pi@Gameboy-Zero:~ $ lsusb Bus 001 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. Button Suggestions for Mounting Inside Cartridge?

Wondering if anyone has suggestions for buttons that could be mounted inside a Gameboy cartridge? The typical tactile buttons + hats are too big to fit in the cartridge slot, even with fairly major plastic removal. Even the plain buttons have slightly too wide of a housing (6x6mm). Anyhow, what I'm ...

Re: what do you do for a living?

I'm a drug dealer (aka pharmacist). I spent a little over 10 years working in a metro-area emergency department.

Now, I don't really sling the drugs anymore. I work in the hospital IT department, helping to keep the pharmacy side of our electronic medical record working.

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

Hey, Dividion.. I notice that you have a jumper on the DMG button board to combine the L & R audio channels for mono speaker output. I'm wondering if adding resistors into the mix might be advised to prevent backfeeding into the L/R channels of the onboard amp? Not sure if there's some sort of prote...

Re: Pocketadventures

I'm working on a build right now with his boards. Great pricing for what you get, and so far everything I've tested mid-build has worked as expected (actually, I couldn't use the L/R button bracket using the stock Gameboy conductive pads without some precise case modifications, but I found a decent ...

Re: stadekxiel's first Game Boy Zero

The first Gameboy Zero is always a learning experience. I still have mine. It broke, but I still have it. :) Luckily, the second one that someone paid me to build for them is still working. Working on my third one now. I ended up going with one of the PCB kits this time . I expect it should be a but...
