Re: 3D printable Game Boy Zero (Pi 3 compatible) shell

I do, but I want to test it before I release it. My latest print failed because the y-axis on my printer has stopped working. I'm waiting on some parts like the lense. Additionally, I still need to add cutouts for a potentiometer and 3.5mm jack. If despite that you want to print it or modify it, the...

3D printable Game Boy Zero (Pi 3 compatible) shell

I've been working on this for the past few days. It's meant to look like a cleaned up game boy with a more space efficient internal layout. It's still compatible with regular button boards, screens, etc. but there are now dedicated spaces for components like the audio amp, powerboost, usb ports and ...

Where did you get the display breakout? I want to do this for my own build because IMO DPI is the best way to drive these displays. Is it a custom piece?

Re: Is the PowerBoost 1000C enough for Pi3 projects?

I went back just to be sure. The boost circuits are slightly different it seems. The basic has a TPS61030 with a 4A internal switch while the C has a TPS61090 and a 2A internal switch. However, from that, it seems the 1000C can actually provide up to 10W (even ~12.5 according to adafruit) instead of...

Re: Is the PowerBoost 1000C enough for Pi3 projects?

It looks like it can carry more current, but it doesn't act as a battery charger unfortunately. I guess I'll use a 1000C and upgrade if I run into issues.

Using the PowerBoost 1000C with batteries in parallel

Assuming I had two balanced batteries in parallel attached to a 1000C, could I expect to run into any safety issues? I have 2 2500mAh adafruit lipos. I'd prefer to use these if possible instead of buying a new, larger battery.

Is the PowerBoost 1000C enough for Pi3 projects?

I'm considering doing a CM3 build, but I'm considering using something other than a PowerBoost 1000C because of how much power it can provide (5W). The Pi under full load and the display combined use ~4.1W which leaves 0.9 for the arduino and audio. That seems kind of tight. Has anybody actually had...

Connecting a DPI screen to GPIO

I'm thinking of using this screen in an upcoming project. As far as I know, this is all I have to do to connect it to a properly configured pi: 1. Wire RGB channels to respective GPIO pins 2. Wire HSYNC and VSYNC pins to respective GPIO pins 3. Wire DE to respective GPIO pin 4. Provide 3.3v & 19.2v ...
