Re: Help getting board down to 5v

Another safer and sure shot method is to use the 3.3v pin of the pi to 3.3v pin of the board for power supply. GND to GND and TV to AV1. That should work just fine

Re: Modification of screen to use 5V

The 3.3v pin directly powers the main IC on board. I would not power it using the battery directly as the battery is capable of 3.7-4.3v. You can use a 3.3v regulator like https://www.adafruit.com/product/2166 to get 3.3v separately if you want so as not to rely on your pi. If you have a screen and ...

Re: Help converting BW screen to 5V

It is not a theme but a...

Re: Help converting BW screen to 5V

Welcome to the world of the BW 3.5 composite.... There's gonna a level of fuzziness with these screens.... If you change/edit the framebuffer in config.txt to 320 240 That will help a little... And it's also adviseable to download RXBrad GBZ35 theme from Retropie, or you'll be back wondering why th...

You only need to poorly drawn black, red, and yellow wires. not the one actually soldered in the image.

Re: Modification of screen to use 5V

In case you are still looking for a solution: See the 4 pads on the bottom left corner? the first pin from right is 3.3V and the second is GND. those are the only 2 pins you need to power the display. Then just connect a yellow or white wire to the Pi and you will have a working lcd Here is another ...

Re: Help converting BW screen to 5V

This the wiring for that board to run from 3.3V . It has been tested and you dont have to mess around with IC soldering/desoldering. Just connect the Edited wires yellow, black, and red.
