Re: Cannikin's GBZ

@Cannikin Could you post some more build images and how ES looks. I wanted to see how much of the screen is visible from outside.

No what I am saying is connect Pi->HDMI to VGA converter->another VGA monitor.

If this works there is nothing wrong with your converter. If it doesnt, you know where the problem is.

Re: another 5v conversion.

Can you check the part number of IC7. It is certainly your voltage converter.

Can you show the pi and board in a single image with better lighting?

I tested a 3.3v power supply directly connected to the 3.3v output and screen works fine but as i suspected the chip amt630 still gets hot and still consume the same current.
When you say hot, how hot does it get? Can you keep a finger on it for long time without burning your finger?

Re: Whitch screen is easiest to use July 2017

Ok my bad. Clearly the IC does not follow standard DPAK pin layout. If Your screen is working properly for both 5v (on pin 3) and 3.3v (on pin 2) on 3.3Regulator and your AMT is still getting hot, try removing the PCB from the screen and post photos of PBC front and back and your raspberry pi.
