Re: Average spent

I've built one so far and it was around 180 Canadian to complete everything. I have ordered all the parts I need for a second one (all aftermarket this time)and it is looking like it will be 180-200 (currently at 180, but I still need a screen protector and some 3d printed items), I ordered the newe...

Re: Audio Static

Quick update, turns out I solved my issue. I found out two things today, one is that there is an alsamixer commad, and the second is that the adafruit mono amp has it's own trim pot. Here is what I did: Turned the volume to max in the alsamixer menu, then I adjusted the trim pot on the mono amp. I l...

Re: PWM audio, with only a speaker, no headphones or pot

Well thanks for that, I did not know about the alsamixer command. I was able to mostly get rid of the static now. What I have done is put the volume to max in alsamixer, and then I manually turned the volume down on the mono amp (I also just realized that the adafruit amp had its on small trim pot)....

Re: Audio Static

I'm having the same issue, I get static in my speaker and my headphones (its pretty bad). I have the amp powered from the power strip, which gets power from the power boost/battery. I am also grounding the amp and the low pass filter on that same power strip. I am using GPIO 18, and have added dtove...

Re: Question about the soldering wires

I am using wires similar to those, I just cut the ends off and they seem to work well.

PWM audio, with only a speaker, no headphones or pot

Hi there, I'm only planning on doing a mono speaker, no headphones or volume wheel, and I am having some issues. I have built a low pass filter, and have it wired to my adafruit mono amp. So the order goes GPIO 18 to low pass, ground from power strip to low pass, low pass goes to the mono amp, then ...

Re: PWM Audio Guide

Quick question, in the guide it mentions that I should use 150 OHM 1/4W resistors, I have some 150 OHM 1W resistors, as well as some 130 OHM 1/4W resistors. I'm new to this kind of project and I am not sure if one would be better than the other? Will the 20 OHM difference make a difference, will one...
